I honestly cannot say. I don't know enough about any situation (besides Japan and some of Libya).
I guess since that's the case I would any other place besides them because I guarantee you I'm not the only person who has no clue on whats going on in other places.

I would say that the smaller countries protesting is the issue thats not receeving enough attention because, all the other countries have received world media attention and I think that the smaller issues, the ones that the worlds not foucusing on need the worlds help the most

In my opinion I believe that in the beginning the world was watching Lybia so closely and then after Japan all of the attention got switched from one issue to another. Now I believe the world is not paying enough attention to the middle east and we are to focused on Japan. Both deserve equal attention.

After the earthquake and tsunami that occurred in Japan, little attention is being put on smaller countries. I'm not sure of all the situations that are occurring but Libya, for example, should be getting our attention as well. There are different situations that most people aren't aware of because the media is more focused on Japan right now.

i think that bombings and civil war in libya arent getting enough attention because everyone is so concentrated on japan that they forgot about libya.

The news runs on fear and they keep that fear in our homes by changing the topic every so often so when something new happens they completely ignore the old news headline. So most people are completely unaware of whats going on in libya, yemen and the other places because the news isnt following it as much as it could be... They deserve more attention from the press...

Ashley -- I haven't heard anything at all about Yemen, Jordan, Bahrain or Iran, but I constantly hear about Japan and Libya. It seems like Libya & Japan are getting all of the world's attention even though there are problems in other countries.

I dont think that any of them are really getting enough attention, the world is focused on the disaster in Japan right now. I dont know enough about any of them to say for sure, but we dont seem to be hearing a lot about the middle east.

I think that the situations in Yemen, Jordan, Bahrain and Iran are not getting enough attention. If the situation isn't settled soon it may escalate

I don't know. The only one I know most about is Japan because it's the only one I am interested in, because of my friends that live there. so Flat out I don't pay attention to what's going on anywhere else. because Japan is the only one that effects me because i worry about my friends.

I feel that all of the attention should be devided up between all the situations. We all have a right to know whats going on in the world and we only Know mostly about two situations, Japan and Lybia, which the media is mainly centering their broadcasts. The situations that should get more attention are all of them.

In my opinion, i believe both (Japan and Libya) are both serious events and i think they should have the same amount of attention, but however I believe they should put a stop to all the stuff in Libya, Jordan, Yemen, etc before it gets to out of hand.

I think that the world would be concentrating more on the protests, the civil war in Libya and the bombings if what was going on in Japan was not so severe. In my opinion, all eyes are on the damaged nuclear plant, which they should be because it is a very dangerous and scary thing but even though we are in danger we cant turn a blind eye on the other problems in the world and we should try and help out as much as we can.

i havent heard anything about jordan, bahrain or Iran. When what happened in Japan the news went from Libya to Japan and then we didnt hear what was happening in Libya anymore. The fighting has gotten worse in libya now and the news hasnt shown that a lot but has stayed with Japan.More people have died and the UN has moved in but the news hasnt really shown that.- josh surette

I always felt fromt he beginning that Libya wasnt getting all the attention that it should of had, and it took long enough for people to really start to care and for something to be done about it. After the earthquake in Japan, almost all of the attention was focused there on the snunami damage. Im not exactly sure whats going on in other places at the moment, but I think people should focus on other parts of the world too. What happened in Japan is horrible, but we cant forget about the remainder of our planet.

Marty brings a valid point.. If it doesn't effect us, then we don't care. We may say we care but in all reality we don't. And the proof is in the media. People think that's since it's not as severe as Japan, it doesn't deserve as much attention, and since the majority of the people in Canada + US are either Japanese or knows someone there then we want to focus our attention to that place to make see if we hear anything about our loved ones.
People also think "it's just another 3rd world country. Doesn't effect me, so I personally don't care."
Not the best way to look at things, but sadly it's the way we are.
We are naturally greedy people and I doubt that will ever change.

I feel that there are so many devistating events talking place all around the world that it is hard to make sure everyone gets the attention they need. There are protests in Libya, earth quakes in Japan, but has the world forgot about places such as Haiti. People in Haiti are still living in tents. My fear is that places like this will no longer be thought about. All found raising is now focused around Japan. So in my opinion places such as Haiti and other small countries are not getting enough attention.

I dont think the international communtity could of done much more to help japan, because I dont think anybody was really prepared for this disaster. Maybe japan was prepared for earthquakes, being a hotspot for those. I dont think Japan could of been prepared for the reacters to end up like that and for the radiation levels to get so high. Now all we can do is help the best we can by donating, or going right to the source and buying iodine and supplies to aid japan, They cant do it on their own.

I don't think any of the other situations are getting enoug attention. Local news doesn't really mention the other world issues, they even don't mention much about Japan other than the fact that car parts for Honda and Toyota aren't being mad(no duh). I think that people are more worried about how it will directly affect them and not how many people are suffering throughout the world.

Its safe to say that the smaller countries with little to offer us are the countries that are getting less attention which is completely wrong. I dont know enough about the other issues since there is nothing on the news talking about the other countries in need.
