I think Gaddafi should just step down. I don't understand why anyone who isn't wanted somewhere wouldn't leave.
I know I would leave if a sh*t load of people were starting a revolution and thousands upon thousands of people were dieing pretty much everyday just because they didn't want me there.
All in all. He should just get the heck outta that place. ASAP.
I don't think that anything can be done to fix what has already happened, but one thing that HAS to be done, and soon, is that Kadafi NEEDS to step down. That is the only way peace will be restored in this country. I believe that if anyone else stops this fight than it will just cause problems for longer because everyone will still be unhappy and they will still be fighting. It could last for years if Kadafi just doesn't step down.
i think that Gaddafi needs to step down in order for peace to be restored in Libya because if he doesn't the fighting will just continue and there will still be unhappy people.
I'm going to agree with what everyone has said so far,Gaddafi needs to step down sooner then later. The problem is who will become the new leader. If Gaddafi steps down there needs to be a democratic election. Another issue with this is that the people probably won't trust anyone at this point, can they be satisfied? The one thing that is clear is that Gaddafi needs to leave.
The only thing that is going to create peace in Libya is Gaddafi stepping down. He is doing nothing but causing more chaos by staying in power. Nothing is going to change the rebels minds besides Gadaffi stepping down.
I believe in order for peace to be achieved in Libya that Gaddafi should just step down, and admit defeat. So much harm has already been done to the people of Libya that it just makes sense for him to step down. As soon as that happens, peace will be restored to everyone.
Gaddafi, by stepping down, can most likely prevent anymore of this from occurring. He finally agreed to the ceasefire, but it has also been stated that "The world has seen these offers of ceasefires before and within 15 minutes [Col Gaddafi] starts shooting again." If Gaddafi steps down, there will be no chance of this occurring. The people have made it clear that all they want is for him to give up his power.

I think that Gaddafi should step down, i dont think that just calling for a ceasefire is good enough for what he and his army have done to the people who stood against him. I think he should leave before more people die trying to make him step down.

I think Gaddafi should step down.Its not right for what has gone on for so far and the pain he has given so many people with a pretty much blood bath killing anyone he can't control. i can't understand why his guy or anyone for that matter wouldn't leave when he knows he not wanted and just won't leave.
I know i wouldn't be to long getting the heck out of there if i was wanted by the many it would be like a fat boy to candy , run away now! but this isn't the case with thousands who have died an everyone hitting back at him you think he would get it but the man isn't right in the head anyways to think he could take on this big of a fight with everyone now going on on it ....i wonder if he's thinking about real hard.

Jocelyn, you are right the fight will still keep going on no matter what that's why he needs to step down so things can be put back into order again.
However it is as if this government still believes he can win and that he is still in control of something, i really don't think Kadfi knows when a fight is lost and when it is won in this case because he doesn't seem he knows just when to give up ....there gonna get him sooner or later its just fact.

What needs to happen for peace to be achieved in Libya is that Gaddafi must step down. He is the reason for all the problems over there. If he stepped down the fighting will end or atleast slow down but if he stays the fighting will continue and people will still be mad and unhappy.
I believe this has gone on for to long an needs to be taken care of because this is a load Bull that is all it is from the time he has taken Gaddfi to see and understand this people won't care nor will they still want him *sighs* i could sit around talking about this all day but you can't reason with a mad man who thinks he is doing right in the eyes of this people,hahaha when his people don't even want him to start with.
He even killed his own men and people who have done nothing wrong but want the rights to change, the same rights you ,me, him/her sitting next to you has everyday and they are being killed for it upon thousands the nembers are to high for me to keep up with it the facts are coming to my point he needs to step down and face the people and law like a man for the crimes he has done to his country only then will things get better with peace and people not having this problems any more.

If Gaddafi wont step down maybe we'll have to see him assasinated. there wont be any form of peace as long as he is there!
I think that we should just keep pressuring Gaddafi until he realizes that he realizes that he will never win and eventually steps down. I think that Gaddafi knows he doesnt stand a chance anymore but he is trying to cause as much damage as possible on his country before he steps down or is eventually killed. ITs kinda sick that the leader of his own country is doing such a sick thing to the place that is his home place.
